Their investigation takes them undercover into uncharted areas of Zootopia, testing their partnership and introducing fresh species and challenges. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy.

Paddington In Peru

Paddington in Peru follows the marmalade-loving bear and the Brown family on a journey to the Amazon and Andes to solve a mystery surrounding Aunt Lucy’s disappearance. Blending humor, adventure, and heartfelt family themes against lush Peruvian backdrops, it offers warmth and charm, though some find it less fresh and magical than its predecessors. Still, it’s a visually delightful, family-friendly outing worth watching for fans of the series.

Snow White is a princess born to a benevolent king and queen, named for a snowstorm on the day of her birth. She grows up happily as her parents share prosperity with their subjects, but the queen dies of an illness and the king remarries. Before departing to confront a far-off threat warned of by his new wife, the king gifts Snow White a necklace engraved with the words: "Fearless, Fair, Brave, True". He never returns, and the new Queen reveals herself as an evil enchantress obsessed with her own beauty, forcing her subjects to live in poverty and conscripting many into the royal guard. Fearing Snow White's beauty will outshine her own, she confines her stepdaughter to the palace as a scullery maid. Each day, the Queen asks her Magic Mirror who is "the fairest one of all", and the Mirror always responds in her favor.

Live Music: Crystal Vision - Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band

A few years ago, one day after a rehearsal for Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at The Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath, Maine… an idea blossomed among members of the production’s music pit to form a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. Of course, it was a great idea! Jane Clukey’s piano skills and smooth, mellow vocals are a perfect match for Christine McVie. Loretta Leighton began singing with  her father as a child, and handles “Rhiannon” and other Nicks favorites with passion and an embracing energy. Brendan Bracy provides searing lead guitar work, acoustic picking, and vocals on Lindsey  Buckingham’s songs. Dan Willertz’s drumming skills make him a perfect Mick Fleetwood, adding an occasional violin! Mark McNeil’s bass playing style and demeanor mesh beautifully with John McVie’s, while also adding harmony vocals and acoustic guitar. Wanda McNeil fills out the lineup as one of Fleetwood Mac’s long-time back-up singers Sharon Celani, while also adding keyboard and percussion parts. There are many Fleetwood Mac cover bands across the country, but Crystal Vision’s particular claim to fame is an authentic presentation, and the resemblance of the three primary vocals to the originals. Loretta as Stevie, Jane as Christine, and Brendan as Lindsey all sound very much like their counterparts, and the blend of all the voices, with Mark and Wanda adding back-ups and harmonies, can be stunning!

MET Encore: El Ultimo Suero De Frida Y Diego

El Ultimo Suero De Frida Y Diego

Gabriela Lena Frank/Libretto by Nilo Cruz

(Recorded live May 26)

Saturday, June 20 - 12:00 pm

American composer Gabriela Lena Frank makes her Met debut with her first opera, a magical-realist portrait of Mexico’s painterly power couple Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, with libretto by Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright Nilo Cruz. Fashioned as a reversal of the Orpheus and Euridice myth, the story depicts Frida, sung by leading mezzo soprano Isabel Leonard, leaving the underworld on the Day of the Dead and reuniting with Diego, portrayed by baritone Carlos Álvarez. The famously feuding pair briefly relive their tumultuous love, embracing both the passion and the pain before bidding the land of the living a final farewell. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the Met premiere of Frank’s opera, a “confident, richly imagined score” (The New Yorker) that “bursts with color and fresh individuality” (Los Angeles Times). The vibrant new production, taking enthusiastic inspiration from Frida and Diego’s paintings, is directed and choreographed by Deborah Colker, following her remarkable 2024 debut staging of Ainadamar.

Tristan Und Isolde (Encore) RICHARD WAGNER NEW PRODUCTION

*recorded live

Saturday, April 11 1:00pm

After years of anticipation, a truly unmissable event arrives as the electrifying Lise Davidsen tackles one of the ultimate roles for dramatic soprano: the Irish princess Isolde in Wagner’s transcendent meditation on love and death. Heroic tenor Michael Spyres stars opposite Davidsen as the love-drunk Tristan. The momentous occasion also marks the advent of a new, Met-debut staging by Yuval Sharon—hailed by The New York Times as “the most visionary opera director of his generation” and the first American to direct an opera at the famed Wagner festival in Bayreuth—as well as Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s first time leading Tristan und Isolde at the Met. Mezzo soprano Ekaterina Gubanova reprises her signature portrayal of Brangäne, alongside bass-baritone Tomasz Konieczny, who sings Kurwenal after celebrated Met appearances in Wagner’s Der Fliegende Holländer and Ring cycle. Bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green makes an important role debut as King Marke. ESTIMATED RUN TIME: 4 HRS 50 MINS (TWO INTERMISSIONS
